We started a ne region of the United States; Southeast.
Our state we are working on today is Alabama. So what did we learn on our trip today?? Read on and you will see.
Okay boys where is Alabama?

State flag ~ On February 16, 1895, 76 years after being admitted to the Union the Alabama Legislature authorized the crimson cross of St. Andrew on a field of white as it‘s official flag.
State Bird ~ Yellow Hammer
State Fish ~ The Tarpon This fish can reach 8 feet long and weigh up to 290 pounds!! Holy Cow that’s a big fish!
Then we learned about Rosa Parks.
Then we made a light house because we learned about the Middle Bay light house. Here are some pictures on what the boys did to make the light house. It is not exactly like the one in the curriculum says to make because we didn’t have all the pieces we needed, so we made due with a oatmeal container and a paper cup.
Lastly we filled in our travel log.
