Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons

get

It is time for my little man Snickers to learn to read. I used this book to teach Kit-Kat to read an it was amazing. After we finished this book with him we moved on to The McGuffey readers. I do recommend them for any age. To go on with what we did today. Snickers was so excited to start his reading lessons that he didn’t want to wait till after Christmas break, so we started yesterday. He has learned 3 sounds so far “m” “s” “a”. He then learned to put “a” and “m” together to make his first word! He was jumping up and down so excited that that was how you read. There was lots of high fiving and fist bumping going on during these lessons. I can’t wait to get though more of the lessons. This one of my favorite parts of homeschooling is teaching them something so important like reading!

Here he is saying sounds.

After they learn the the sound they next learn to write the sound on paper. It reinforces the learning.

If you notice here they learn to write an a different them most learn in school. What he does here is as he says writes the letter he says the sound.
