Easter Saturday fun.

We spent the afternoon hanging out at grandpas house.

Dying Easter eggs with the cousins.

Drake begging auntie Becky for some jelly beans.

Will and Drake being silly

Brooke trying to put A ponytail in drakes hair.

And a quick snap of Vinny Croix and I.

I can't wait until tomorrow to go to Easter service. And to celebrate Vinnys 3 year anniversary of being baptized.

Happy Easter,

Oh Christmas Tree!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...... I love that song and pretty much every Christmas song out there. I believe my kids are probably getting tired of listening to Christmas music. But it is that time if year.

So back to Oh Christmas Tree, we finally got one last weekend. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. Vince went to go pick one up where we bought one last year (our first real tree) but they were all out. We had seen a sign along the highway about a Christmas tree farm so we had to go. I will say I am so glad we did! It was a lot of fun. We will be going back there from now on.

God Bless and Merry Christmas,

I am so spoiled!! An early Christmas gift.

Well this Christmas and all others my husband asks me what I would like. Well he hates it when I give him items for the kitchen. This year I told him that I really do need a few things for the kitchen and that is all I wanted. Not something that was just pretty. So here was my list in order of necessity.

  1. Stainless steel family skillet
  2. tea kettle
  3. coffee pot

Well guess what he got me. The one thing that was last on my list but he gave me one that was way fancier then I would of ever thought. My coffee  pot as of right now took about 30 minutes to brew about 4 cups of coffee. That was even after I have cleaned it in many ways including a vinegar rinse. So I had picked out a few things at the store and showed them what I would like. The coffee pot was just a coffee pot but was the colors I wanted.

Well to make sure he gets me something that I needed but was not at all what I expected. He gave me this!

See I told you I am spoiled! What great ,sweet, caring, loving husband I have. I am normally the one that thinks we need to get a good quality with not a lot of frills. But he wants to make sure that I still get a few things with frills.

So this morning was the cup of coffee I brewed using the k-cups that it came with and I do have to say it was yummy! I did brew a cup of sleepy time tea last night before bed. Which I did not know that you can brew teas with this too. I went on the web site and there are over 200 flavors of beverages that you can get for this. Including things like teas, coffees, holt of cold teas, fruit drinks and hot coco.

Well now you have seen my gift. Now it is time for seeing my children’s eyes light up on Christmas morning. This is the best part of the Christmas season. The most important one it we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. I do love reading the story of Jesus birth to the kids. We do make sure we separate the real meaning for the tree and all things that we do here in America for Christmas. I really do not like that we mix them together. But that is me.

I do discuss with the kids as they get old enough to understand the story of why and who started Christmas on December 25. That way they become completely separate from each other. We do Santa, we do the tree and lights but it is completely separate part from Jesus birth. I do not know if this is the right way to do this but, this is how we do it.

God Bless you all and have a Merry Christmas,

Jen

Church Christmas program 2012

This year was a very cute program like they normally are. Sadly Will was the only one in it this year. Croix had no desire to be in it and Vinny is to old. Will enjoyed it very much and took this year very seriously. He was one of the 3 wise men.

I just want to share a few pictures of the program.

Enjoy!

Here is a picture of King Herod  acting angry about Jesus birth.

Here is Watson. His part in the play was helping King Herod find out if the story of Jesus being born was true.

The whole group of kids singing. Will is the only one in grey. He was told because he was the only one who needed a medium shirt. I think he didn’t mind at all because he likes grey.

The program was a lot of fun to watch this year. Our pastors wife does an awesome job every year along with all her great helpers that show come to help each year. I have yet to venture in this to help with the programs. One day I will help just not right now.

God bless,

Happy New Year!!

Happy-New-Year-2012

Happy New Year! Now normally I am not one to make a list of resolutions but this year I do have a couple. They are not the normal get healthy (get skinny) ones. I have been noticing a few things about my self lately that I need to work on. So in church today when we took communion after asking for forgiveness I asked for a fresh new start from the inside out. I am talking the heart. I have noticed that I have been a little short lately and not meaning my height (hehe). SO here is my list.

  1. Spend more time with God
  2. Spend more time in His word
  3. Pray more with my husband
  4. Praying for others more
  5. giving more

I know my list is only 5 like most peoples is a top 10 but to me these are the most important things in life. Improving on these areas will improve my life and my families lives in many areas.

I pray that all of you had a wonderful New Years!!

    God Bless

Christmas Morning (the Santa gifts)

So I am guilty of one thing this year which was not taking very many pictures this Christmas morning. We do not have a huge deal Christmas morning. Santa just brings one present per child and it is nothing to big. We are not big on the whole Santa thing, but we will participate in it till we do not have kids that still think he is real.

Christmas morning was a very  laid back morning like normal. I was awoken by the voice of my baby Snickers saying in the cutest little voice “mommy its Christmas, good morning”. What a sweet heart this little guy is. When the kids get up in the morning they do not have to wait to open presents because at our house Santa leaves them un wrapped. He delivered legos for the boys so he or his elves (aka mom and dad)had to build the lego sets. Brooke was not out there that morning when I was awoke by that sweet voice she had already grabbed her gift (make up case) and headed back down to her lair for some more zzzzz’s. This teenager can not get enough sleep. I do think I remember being just like that when I was her age. We hung out the rest of the morning in our new pj’s. Then that afternoon my parents came to each lunch at our house and then we went over there for present time. Man are my kids spoiled! We still ave 2 more Christmases to go. on New years eve and Mew years day.

Have a happy and safe New Year

God Bless

This is one of our little traditions every Christmas Eve is to open up new pj’s  to wear for Christmas morning. Okay so the real reason to begin with was for cute pictures on Christmas mornings.

I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas.
