Christmas Day 2013

We had a nice relaxing Christmas Day. We normally try to stay home on Christmas Day and again we were able to do it again this year. We did invite my parents over for supper. I mad beef and noodles which was a request from my hubby. He request this for any holiday meal. I am pretty sure it is because it reminds him of his grandma because that is what she makes for holiday meals. Isn't it funny how food is a trigger for happy memories? When I  eat avacodos I think of my grandpa, makes me smile.

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning.
Brooke always asks for money so we gave it to her in ones and added Moneopoly money to it in a big bag. He he *smile*

Vinny received an iPod and a blue rock through er. We also a couple of months ago we bought him a shotgun and took him out turkey and duck hunting , but he needs to work on shooting so we thought blue rock would be a good way to help him with that.

Will also got an iPod and a game. I just love his hair in this picture.

Now Croix as you can see has the best expressions when it comes to opening Christmas gifts! Love it!

Drake had fun just playing with the paper. Such a cutie!

Here are a few shots from when my parents came over.

It was a great day! Hope all you a a great CHRISTmas day too.

God Bless,

Today was yet another fun filled Christmas season days. We decorated cookies and mad a gingerbread train. We even woke up to snow this morning! Not very much but it was still pretty. Vince decided to see what Drake thought about the snow. He was a bit confused about it but it was sure cute.

I just love those cute little footprints.

Santa!!

Today we got to go see Santa and have a fire truck ride. Croix was super excited. I love seeing the joy in my kids eyes. It was too cold for Drake to ride with us in the fire truck. But Croix and I were able to  ride up front. Croix loved it because he was able to ring the bell the whole time.

As you can see it was just Croix Drake and I there we'll daddy did come but no one else wanted to come do "the baby stuff". Well they missed out a lot of fun.

I hope you are all have a wonderful Christmas season as we are. I just started wrapping some presents, so now our tree has some pretties under it. Now we need to see how long they can stay because Drake is rolling everywhere!

God bless,

2013 Christmas programs

I just love this time of year! One of my favorite things is going to or being a part of Christmas programs. I again joined the community choir for the Christmas program and yet again it was a great show and sooooouch fun!

I can't wait for next year!!

Then we had Brooke's choir concert. I am pretty bummed she decided not to do choir next semester but she will be in drama so that should fun though too.

Next we had Vinnys band concert. The band teachers in our town are AMAZING!! They do such a wonderful job with the kids. Our band pretty much wins every contest they enter. Our high school is not aloud to come to a big matching parade because they have won it so many times.

Look at that handsome man.

Then today Will had an assembly at school where the kids sang and received awards. Then Wills class signed 2 Christmas songs.

Grandma came to watch and of course Drake fell asleep. Most people are amazed that he can sleep in such noisy areas, then I tell them we have 5 kids and 4 of them boys. Then they seem to understand. *smile*

God bless,

Oh Christmas Tree!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...... I love that song and pretty much every Christmas song out there. I believe my kids are probably getting tired of listening to Christmas music. But it is that time if year.

So back to Oh Christmas Tree, we finally got one last weekend. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. Vince went to go pick one up where we bought one last year (our first real tree) but they were all out. We had seen a sign along the highway about a Christmas tree farm so we had to go. I will say I am so glad we did! It was a lot of fun. We will be going back there from now on.

God Bless and Merry Christmas,
Jen
