Breakfast Cake

Yes you read that right I do make cake for breakfast! It is so yummy and it is pretty darn good for you too!!

Here's what you need!

Breakfast cake

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats (not the instant stuff)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup of raisins, dried fruit or chocolate chips (optional)

Stir together dry ingredients till well blended. Then add all liquid items. mix well. Next fold in chocolate chips or fruit.

Pour into greased 9x13 pan

Bake at 350 for 30-40 mins

Serve with cream, butter, syrup, honey or just alone is yummy!!
